I provide strategy and management consulting for the voluntary sector. Every organisation reaches a point where it needs help to get to the next stage in its development. At that stage, a trusted partner who can come on board and help you dig into the challenges and opportunities you’re facing can be hugely valuable.

Ideally, you need someone who knows every aspect of social change work like the back of their hand, which means they bring perspectives outside your own - as well as knowing what it’s like to be in your shoes.

It also helps to have a trusted observer to work with you, your teams, and your stakeholders, to give you an objective perspective - and see solutions you may not have considered.

How I can help

My consulting is based on my deep, wide-ranging, experience of the charity sector in all its forms. I have 10 years’ experience as Chief Executive and a senior leader in UK charities and social enterprises, the public and private sectors. I’ve been on all sides of the ‘desk’ - manager and front-line; grant-maker and applicant; CEO and everyone else. I know how hard all of those jobs are, and the difficult decisions everybody has to make. I know what it’s like to have to ‘do more with less’ - and I know how to do it, and when to say it can’t be done. I also know how good it feels to do good.
